Booths for High Intensity Noise Reduction from UHP Furnaces
„Dog house“ booths are used for noise reduction from UHP electric-arc furnaces and other high sources. The high level of noise reduction of these booths is achieved by using the membrane resonance effect, especially at low-frequency range from 80-15 Hz.
„Dog house“ soundproof booths have been installed at both the Ironworks Jesenice and the Ironworks Ravne in Slovenia.
The image above shows the „dog house” booth installed on a 68-ton UHP furnace at the Ravne Ironworks.
